Smashing Barriers

In early 2023, we co-founded Smashing Barriers, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making tennis accessible to underserved communities across the nation. Inspired by the physical and mental benefits we’ve experienced through the sport, we launched this initiative to help others access the same opportunities. What began as a local effort in Portland has grown into a nationwide movement, with programs now active in Arizona, California, Texas, Florida, and Louisiana. Together, we’ve reached over 450 children, collected more than 200 donated rackets, hosted free clinics, and organized multiple community tournaments, creating inclusive and empowering spaces for youth development through tennis.
